Hotel Palazzuolo is situated within a private park of 11 hectares on the edge of the village of San Quirico d’Orcia. The original hotel building was an 18th century farmhouse which belonged to the Simonelli-Santi family. It dominates the valley at the junction of the Cassia – the road to Siena while facing Montalcino. The hotel has splendid views and breathtaking sunsets.
The elegant but welcoming hotel offers guests a variety of spaces both inside and out, a place to relax and plan outings to the most interesting places in the Valdorcia and the south of Tuscany.
In the shade of the pine trees, beside the swimming pool there are numerous possibilities for relaxing with a good book, or you can choose to sit by the farmhouse’s ancient fireplace.
Palazzuolo Hotel offers its guests a total of forty-two rooms, they are all warm and welcoming and furnished with every comfort.
Most of the rooms face onto the park surrounding the hotel and the swimming pool, others have fine views of the ancient village of San Quirico d’Orcia.
Many of the rooms have a balcony where it is possible to have breakfast and enjoy the splendid view.
Some rooms may be used by larger families being able to sleep 4 spaciously.
The rooms all have a WIFI ADSL internet connection, mini bar, Tv, Air conditioning and Safe.
The restaurant at Palazzuolo Hotel is open every day for lunch and dinner. There are two dining rooms indoors as well as a large terrace with views of the Valdorcia and Montalcino.
Our chefs prepare typical Italian food with particular care and attention to the tasty and traditional Tuscan dishes.
Much care is taken over the choice of the raw materials; the fresh meat, vegetables, bread and cheese not only taste delicious, they are chosen knowledgably and are for the most part organically produced locally. Much of the produce used in the kitchen such as oil, wine, vinegar and jam come from the Simonelli-Santi family farms in San Quirico d’Orcia and Castiglion d’Orcia – synonyms of freshness and extremely high quality.
We advise our guests to try our homemade pasta: gnocchi, tagliatelle and of course ‘I pici’ typical pasta from the province of Siena and the Valdorcia in particular.
On the wine list you will find all the great reds from the Province of Siena:- Brunello from Montalcino and Nobile from Montepulciano which are famous all over the world as well as a selection of excellent wines from other regions of Italy.
It is possible to buy the locally produced produce from the family farms such as the cold pressed extra virgin olive oil, wine and jam.
Palazzuolo Hotel has a spacious conference hall with air conditioning which is comfortably able to seat up to 250 people.
The room is set up with an audio-visual system with a large screen, projector, dvd player and amplification. For smaller meetings Palazzuolo Hotel also has the ’sala del camino’ in the older part of the building or the terrace overlooking the swimming pool.
